jarissaI'm at a decision point in this game: either the new content will make it worth the fact that I'm generally alone on there, and I don't powerplay so I have yet to do more than two dungeons; or the new stuff to explore won't save it for me, and I'll ask Dearly Beloved to can my account as the money could be spent on Reed's Apple Ginger Brew instead.
My main character is a level 48ish Night Elf priestess. Her name is Sterea, short for "Sterea t'Aip". Tells you how stumped I am, on an allegedly "RP" server, that's the character I enjoy the most: a freakin' bandaid.
If you've yet to install the big patch, by the way, which includes all the new content that doesn't require purchase of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack, I heartily recommend rebooting after installation of each patch before trying to sign in. Trust me. Solves the "hangs on 2nd patch at 97%" problem.
The talent trees have been heartily redesigned, so all talent points have been refunded and we're off to choose up all over again. Then spellslingers will probably need to go rebuy some advanced versions of spells bought with those talent points.
Where the vithin vith are my Night Elf priest spells?! I had completed the quests for two spells -- Starshards and Elune's Grace -- that are only available to NE clerics. I used them a LOT. I cannot get an option to redo the quests. I cannot find mention in the patch notes that they've been removed from the game. I can't find them in my flippin' Spellbook. They're not part of the revised Talent Trees.
I'm sure it's going to wind up being something I need to petition, but I'll wait 'til they're not swamped with "Help! I can't read patch notes and somebody said there's accomplishment points!" messages. I'm sure that'll be long after most of the serious troubles are fixed.
But xsa'ol, I want my Starshards back, at minimum.
Edit to add: I still cannot find it in the patch notes, but word on the Interwebs is that apparently all racial-based priest spells are gone. Pfui.
