Sometimes, I trip over a piece of fanfic that I'd really like to never lose again, even in a bad crash.
"Just a Face On a Train" is a movie-Spiderman fanfic by katheryne, with the author's end-note:
(Main character is "Maggie", in case it vanishes from ff and I need to do an internet search for it.)
"Serenity, Nevada" is a crossover by Christina K, and works beautifully where most crossover stories jar. She's written some other Firefly crossovers that I'll have to read through when I have another lazy late night ahead of me. Years ago, I used to follow this author's writing on another fanfic archive, but lost all my google-worthy cues in a computer crash that took me three months to fix. She has a real gift for portraying characters genuinely, in and out of their native settings.

March 2005 Author’s Note: Another fic is in the works. Should be finished in the next month or two.
