Finger-Weaving is AWESOME
Wed, Dec. 17th, 2008 15:34This is just the sort of new hobby I needed: portable, simple, with tangible -- above all, potentially useful -- results. I can do this without my contacts in, if I can't sleep because the damned headache meds didn't work. I can do this in the passenger seat of a car, and still be looking out the window and chatting with the driver. I expect I'll be able to do it during gaming -- will find out Saturday.
It occupies just the right amount of my brain to keep my ability to think from stalling, without preventing any actual brain-intensive work.
One catch: I now have a single length of finger-weaving that's approximately ten feet long. I went a long time, last night and this morning, doing that while reading the Internets and wishing I was asleep. This doesn't count the attached other sections, and now I've got to figure out: what, exactly, am I going to DO with all this woven cord?
